Sad news today

The landlord is sending me a breach of contract against me at the store. It is for many reasons, but he has the right to do so. With this breach of contract he can legally give me a 14 day notice to vacate the premises. He did that a few days ago. I have been trying to work something out over the last few days to stay open until the end of October, but he is not buying and wants me out.

In the next 24 hours I will announce the final day the store is open, etc. This all went down today around 2pm this afternoon. So I am still in a bit of shock and totally overwhelmed with what has to get down before closing the store.

I am in debt over my head and with no store front to sell stuff out of, so PLEASE if possible in the next week and half, if you can afford to buy anything from the store, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was just in on Sunday from out of town and bought some stuff but I'll definitely try to make it in again this weekend. Hope you get up and running again soon!

Sad to hear. There was a bunch of stuff I was eyeballing when I was in a little while ago. I'll make sure to stop by asap and buy it all.

Do you have an online store?

Good serves you right!!! Grind or go home

You can sell your merchandise on eBay if worse comes to worse. As long as you have a place to store your stock.

See you tomorrow and thanks for all the great records.

Been one of my favorite stores...whenever I'm downtown, I always make sure I make a trip. Fuckin' shame.

Hey,

Is there a way to buy via mail order? I'm in Connecticut, so wouldn't be able to make it over.

Take care,

Li

Hi, I'm from Brazil, is there an online catalogue that I could see and maybe buy some stuff to help?

Notice this fuckface posts anonymously. It's because if his name was on here he/she/it would be stomped into a pile of dogshit. Go fuck yourself! Small independent stores are a dying breed killed off by hipster loser chain stores catering to the top 40 crowd.
Again, fuckoff and get ass violated in the worst possible way.

Hits And Misses on Queen st is closing in 14 days. If your a music buyer you must hit this store before it closes. Canada's best source for Punk Vinyl. I've bought many of records over the past 2 years from Pete, I could call him up and introduce myself and he would always say "The railroader from Ingersoll" and then I would ask him what new items came in or what Gems. Pete always greeted his customers with a smile was always happy to talk and always had a great selection. I as well as my fans will surely miss Hits And Misses as I have purchased alot of great records from this fine store. I really dont know were Im going to get my rare records from now. Extra thanks to Pete for completing my Personality Crisis collection, It took me 17 years to find 1 record it was worth the wait and I especially enjoyed spending the next half hour hearing about PC in Portland Oregon back in the day. Again its a sad day in Ontario Punk history. Good luck Pete in your future endevours.

Supported this store when I lived in Ontario and every time I visited since then. If Pete or ANYONE could make a list of some of the back shelf records (or all the inventory), I would do whatever I could to mail order.

Worst news ever. One of my favourite places to be whenever I was downtown. Hopefully you're open this weekend, Pete. I'll be sure to grab a bunch of shit.

This is heart breaking for me. I've always avoided mail order at all costs just so I could give Pete what little money I had to spend on records. Really, really, really going to miss this store. Truly one of a kind and I doubt i'll ever find a better place suited to my musical taste. Hopefully all works out somehow. I'll be in ASAP to help out.

- Mike (or PPM, as referred to by Pete)

Not enough guts to identify yourself while putting others down Anonymous from Sept. 5. You go JPondscum! Good luck to Pete and his efforts to deal with the average Joe/Jane. Not sure how or if my name goes on here but it's Diane from Saskatoon ... and I do know the store.

I am soo upset to hear that this great space is closing. Siesta and hits and misses both gone within a few months of each other. I should also mention that Pete is literally the nicest record store owner in Toronto, or perhaps even the entire world! I wish you the best, man.
